I build the systems
that run your business.

Custom software for the way your business actually works — the internal platform, the website, the payments, the reporting. Designed and written end to end by one architect, with a clear path for you to take the keys after 12 months, and often structured so I earn when it performs.

Build it. Launch it. Grow it.

What I actually do

I build the software a business cannot operate without.

Internal platforms, customer-facing products, payments and the reporting on top — designed, written and operated by one architect, then handed over intact.

You have outgrown your tools

Spreadsheets, inboxes and three systems that disagree with each other. I replace that with one platform your team logs into — people, work, customers, money and reporting in the same place.

The process only works because someone remembers it

Knowledge living in one person's head is a risk, not a system. I turn how you actually operate into software: permissions, approvals and a record of who did what, so the process holds without supervision.

It has to be right, not just live

Anywhere money moves or sensitive information is held, correctness is not optional. Access control, encryption and an audit trail are built in from the first migration rather than added after a question is asked.

Capabilities

Five kinds of software, all of them shipped into production.

Rutledge GroupRecruitment, training & care

MyRutledge

Problem — A recruitment, training and domiciliary care group running critical operations — including safeguarding and learner data — across disconnected systems, spreadsheets and inboxes, with no defensible audit position.

Built — One auth-gated operations platform covering people, learning, recruitment, comms, finance, governance and security, with compliance invariants enforced by the code rather than by policy documents.

ONE Personal Wellness

Problem — A premium wellness collective running assessments, memberships, in-clinic payments and practitioner consultations across separate tools, with clinical information that must never be handled casually.

Built — One operating system spanning acquisition, membership and clinical delivery — from a scored pathway assessment through to a practitioner consultation workspace with clinical flags, consent capture and a stamped audit trail.

Payments partnershipPayments infrastructure

Nexuz Edge Gateway

Problem — A payments partner signing merchants faster than they could be technically onboarded, with each integration configured by hand and no consistent way to keep merchant keys off the merchant's front end.

Built — A single-operator console where a signed merchant becomes a configured, live integration — one embed script for most, a self-contained code pack for the rest, with the private key never leaving the server.

  • NMI

How I work with people

Four ways in — and none of them is a day rate.

I would rather be tied to how a system performs than to how many hours it took. Which model applies depends on what the system does for the business.

A long-term technical seat inside one business

I work as the technical side of the business — designing, building and running the software it depends on. Not a day-rate contractor and not an agency: one person accountable for the whole thing, from the database to the day it goes live.

Suits

Any business with real operational complexity and no technical lead of its own, that wants someone permanently on the hook rather than a project team that leaves.

How it is built

The same controls that run live platforms.

The same approach — enforced permissions, classified data, audit trails, no-hostage handover — is applied to every system I build, whether it holds customer records, staff data or payments.

  1. 01

Access rules enforced by the database

Permissions are not a UI convenience. Every table has row-level security, roles live in a separate table, and the build includes lint checks that stop shortcuts before they reach production.

  2. 02

    Sensitive data classified and tracked

Personal information is tiered, masked by default, and encrypted where needed. When someone with permission reveals it, the system writes an audit row — not as an afterthought, as the design.

  3. 03

A tamper-evident record of what happened

Critical actions are written to an append-only audit chain and reconciled automatically. If the chain diverges, the platform freezes the relevant path and raises it rather than continuing quietly.

  4. 04

Built so another team can take it over

Code, database and hosting sit in your accounts with standard tools and documentation. After the first 12 months you can take over operations completely; until then I run it as if it were my own.

NEXUZ Lite — start small, same standards.

Not every business needs a full platform on day one. Lite is the way in: one well-built site, or one part of your process fixed properly, on a monthly retainer you can leave whenever you like.
